Kenya and Switzerland have officially signed their Article 6 Bilateral Agreement – a significant milestone for joint climate action and opening new avenues for innovative project ideas in this important and growing market.
Kenya offers a promising landscape for progress, particularly in the areas of e-mobility and renewable energy. It is an opportune time to explore potential project proposals that align with these developments. The deployment of climate-friendly and innovative technologies will be accelerated through the Article 6 mechanism on Internationally Transferred Mitigation Outcomes (ITMOs), and climate finance will be unlocked to fund the upcoming mitigation programmes.
